This past week the Willard Student Council hosted their annual canned food drive. Our students absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark this year! They donated 3629 canned and non-perishable items! These kids never cease to amaze us with their generosity and care for the community. We would like to give a big shout out to our student council for all of the work they put into counting, organizing, and boxing up all of those items. Great work Warriors!
Javion was last week's Caught Card Winner! Javion was caught by Mrs. Acker for helping a classmate with his lunch when he needed assistance. Javion took the initiative to do this without being asked. Thanks so much for your willingness to help others. We are proud of you, Javion! Javion won a gift certificate to House of Flavors! Anthony was last week's "caught card" winner. Anthony was caught by Mrs. Johns. Anthony took the initiative to help our custodian clean up paper towels that other students had thrown on the floor. Thanks for taking pride in our school and being such a great Willard family member! We appreciate you, Anthony! Anthony won a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Thank you again Pizza Hut for supporting our students and community!
Here are our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest winners! The judging was tough this year with so many great entries! We are continually blown away by the creativity of our students!
Jacquelyn was our Caught Card winner from last week. Jacquelyn was nominated by Mrs. Johns for "helping students learn how to do a math lesson on fraction tiles when they were struggling." Thanks so much for taking the extra time to help out your classmates. This act of kindness was not overlooked! Jacquelyn won a free kids meal certificate from El Carreton.
