Reminder: Beginning tomorrow, Monday, November 16, 2020 students will be moving to eLearning November 16-24.
We understand that some confusion has been created due to the different expectations for students at the upper grade levels. This message serves to clarify some of that confusion. Baker students ARE NOT required to attend live Zoom sessions for the duration of the school day. Classroom teachers will offer them twice daily as live, "help" sessions, as this is the preferred method for some families. Students that receive targeted services such as Title I, Reading Recovery, speech, etc. may have a specific Zoom meeting time, but that is communicated directly with the students that are involved.
Assignments are due by the following day. For example, eLearning lessons posted Monday at 9am will be due Tuesday by 9am. We understand that many families are accommodating work schedules and that our students require more help than that of their older, more independent siblings. Therefore they ARE NOT required to have everything submitted by the end of the typical school day, but by the following morning.
All of this information, Zoom "help session" links, and more will be on the first portion of your student's assignment tomorrow as they were in September. As they always have been in the past, assignments will be pushed out through Google Classroom. There have been no changes in the format of our delivery. Please contact your child's teacher via Remind, email, during a scheduled Zoom "help session," or by phone (765) 584-5581 option 4 with any questions you may have.
We promise that this will look like what you completed earlier in the year during our scheduled eLearning day. Thank you.
Randolph Central will be providing free Grab n’ Go lunch next week, Nov. 16-20th. Each sack will contain a free lunch combined with breakfast food for the next morning at five locations:

Attention Baker Families: All 1st and 2nd grade boy’s basketball skill clinics have been postponed until further notice due to Randolph County raising the COVID-19 restriction level to orange. Players and parents will be contacted if coaches are able to resume or reschedule. Thank you for your understanding.
Picture Retake day will be Monday, October 26th. If you would like picture retakes, please send in your original pictures that day to the school. You may order your photos online at www.crabtreephotos.com or call the school office to have an order form sent home Friday afternoon.
Baker Families: This afternoon we had an unplanned building evacuation caused by a faulty water pressure sensor in a sprinkler flow valve. Students and staff did a wonderful job evacuating the building and getting to their safe zones. Thanks to the quick response from emergency personnel, we were able to reenter the building in a timely manner and resume our learning day. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Geesy at JGeesy@RandolphCentral.us.
