The Hunsucker Scholarship is open with a due date of February 1, 2021. This is a significant scholarship that previously awarded $24,000 to a Winchester Community High School student last school year.
In order to apply, you will need to complete a screener on the Central Indiana Community Foundation website, then complete the application that follows. This is a time-consuming process, but can definitely be worth your time.
The Hunsucker scholarship is awarded to students with academic promise, good character, and community service backgrounds.
This scholarship is only for Winchester Community High School students, so one of you will win this money. In years past, we have had very few applicants, which means that if you take the time to fill out the application, you will have a great shot!

2021 William H. Yohler Memorial Scholarship

Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Award
Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Inc. (IBCAT) is currently accepting applications for the Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship of up to $2,500 for college or post-secondary technical schooling is awarded to an Indiana High School Senior(s) whose parent is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer.

Indiana Next: A Guide to Life After High School Scholarship
You can win! Just complete this form and you could win a $1,500 Indiana College Scholarship from IBJ Media. Drawing will be in April 2021. One entry per student. You automatically enter to win when you complete and submit this questionnaire. Choose the organizations that you want to know more about. You will receive more information from these companies, schools, or organizations in 4-6 weeks.
Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship
As you may remember, in 2016 the General Assembly created the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship. This initiative encourages high-achieving students to pursue a career in education. The Indiana Commission for Higher Education provides 200 new scholarships of $7,500 each year (renewable up to four years) in exchange for agreeing to teach in Indiana for five consecutive years at an eligible school. Students interested in applying must:
- be in the top 20% of their class, or have a top 20% ACT/SAT score to qualify
- submit a clean and complete FAFSA
Students may apply at www.ScholarTrack.IN.gov and applications are due by 11:59pm EST on January 31, 2021. Please contact NextTeacher@che.IN.gov

The Gongaware Scholarship
If you are interested in attending Indiana State University next fall, this is the scholarship for you. Winners receive full in-state tuition plus $3,000 professional development account. You must be accepted to ISU by December 1st to be eligible. Apply online at indstate.edu/gongaware

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program annually awards roughly 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with $10,000 renewable scholarship – up to $40,000 total per recipient. IUPUI Honors College
Incoming freshmen who apply for admission to IUPUI for Fall 2021 by November 15th, 2020 and meet the following criteria are offered an IUPUI Chancellor’s Scholarship AND direct admission to the IUPUI Honors College: a cumulative high school GPA of 3.75 and a minimum ACT composite score of 28 or SAT score of 1250 or higher (SAT critical reading and math scores combined). https://honors.iupui.edu/

The IUPUI George W. Carver Teaching Initiative (CTI)
The IUPUI George W. Carver Teaching Initiative (CTI) is a scholarship and career development program dedicated to the recruitment, retention, and support of high-achieving, underrepresented minority youth in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) teaching careers.
Among the many benefits, CTI Scholars receive up to $33,000 in scholarship support; paid summer internships, professional networking and career-building opportunities, and support with job placement.
The Networks Scholarship from Indiana State University
The Networks Scholarship, created through a grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., is for students studying for a career in business and financial services - all majors in the Scott College of Business are eligible.
- 4-year, $9,000 Scholarship valued at $36,000
- $3,000 Professional Development Account to be used over four years
- Paid Internships and Career Preparation
- International Travel and Professional Conferences
- Professional and personal growth through hands-on learning, industry relationships, and coaching.
To be eligible to apply, students must be admitted as an incoming freshman to Indiana State. Qualified students should possess two of the following three criteria:
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale
- An 1140 SAT (Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing and Math) or 23 ACT
- Ranking in the top 15% of the senior class.
Students must have applied and been accepted to Indiana State by December 1st to access the application. Completed Networks applications, including all required materials, are due by December 15th
